The initial intro to this blog was concocted on New Year’s Eve. A rambling, pretensions, resolution of a sort; it did little to convey what this blog would become.
This site will serve to document my work on a Fantasy RPG campaign setting that I call Haucumgalium.
I often get asked how to pronounce that but I don’t believe there is an official answer. The name itself is a portmanteau of the names of the suns from ancient (and fictitious) civilizations and I am sure the denizens of the world have long debates over dialects and stressed syllables. There is no wrong answer.
Initially I had endeavored to remain system agnostic and steer away from stats and the like, but that has proven a difficult and unnecessary. I do tend to stay pretty firmly in the OSR compatible realm.
This game world may yet see the table, in fact I plan for it too. If you want to visit the world of Nizour in the twin sunned void of Haucumgalium, you should be aware that in these texts spoilers abound. Do with that what you will.
